Organic Basmati Rice - Brown
An aromatic long grain rice that has a distinctive light, nutty flavour and chewy texture. Organic brown basmati rice has a lower glycaemic index than other varieties of brown or white rice so is a healthy alternative for people monitoring their blood glucose levels. It does takes longer to cook than white basmati rice.
How to use
Basmati rice has a mild nutty flavour. It is often used with Indian cuisine and works particularly well with curry’s and coconut flavours. It is a delicious and healthy alternative to white rice as a side dish, steamed along with dhals or currys, in salads, as a fried rice, in pilafs, stir-frys or even desserts.
